Sustainable Building -- Governments and Communities Lead the Way: |
Starting in British Columbia, with BC's close interest in the USGBC and
the formation of LEED BC, many of the early larger sustainable buildings
were funded and promoted with government interest. In fact, in many areas
of the United States, governments are mandating that their new buildings
meet or exceed minimum LEED Silver requirements.
The CaGBC is presently in the process of moving offices, and is also trying to set an example through their choice and style of occupation. |
